Artist’s studio Françoise Chassonnerie

Françoise Chassonnerie works with matter. She digs and drills openings to reveal the sculpture she senses within. The slow evolution of her works enables the artist to introduce not only the initial shape she imagined, but also a profusion of alternating feelings throughout the creative process. They emerge in works entitled "Amazone", "Passionnata", "Kossamui"...
With her hands, she frees curves and blossoming forms, working the matter and the light that settles on it. Outside, the piece glows; inside it harbours her emotions.
